Child development is a dynamic and complicated process. Even the most seemingly well-adjusted child can face challenging emotions and behaviors. It can be difficult to determine if your child is experiencing expected developmental issues or if there are more serious concerns. In some cases, it is clear that a child is struggling. You may know what the issue is, have an idea, or you may be at a total loss. Whatever the case, it is common to feel concerned, and at times, overwhelmed by how to help.

The decision to seek professional help for your child can bring up many emotions: fear, uncertainty, worry, or maybe hope and excitement. You may feel defeated, as if you have tried everything but nothing works. Perhaps you are concerned your child will resist therapy, or you are just not sure if they really need it.

While it can be overwhelming, providing your child with effective therapy can create long-lasting and profound positive changes.

When we help children build social-emotional skills, we help with brain development and promote neural connections that empower them to become healthy and productive adults.

I specialize and have extensive experience in the treatment of social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties in children. I have worked for many years with children facing a wide range of issues in various settings.
